Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (hereinafter referred to as the Organization) attach great importance to the personal information of users, and is doing its utmost to ensure the protection of rights and interest, and personal information of users, as well as compliance to applicable laws and regulations on personal information including the Personal Information Protection Act. The Organization’s Privacy Policy may require modification due to revision in the government’s laws and guidelines, the Organization’s internal policies or to provide enhanced services to users. In case of modification, the change will be announced to the users via the Organization’s homepage. Hence, we encourage users to check when visiting our website. 1. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information The Organization uses collected personal information for purposes written below. The personal information users provide will not be used for reasons not listed below, and if purposes need to be changed, consent will be asked in advance. (a) Service Provision to Members Participation in events, announcement services such as announcement on contents, notices, and receiving newsletters, etc. 2. Items of Personal Information Collected and Collection Method The Organization collects the personal information required to provide its services to users. (a) Membership Sign-up and Management Individual Member: Name, date of birth, gender, e-mail address, and nationality Organization Member: Organization Name, e-mail address, number of members, and country of organization (b) Notice Regarding Membership in the Articles of Association (1) Article 5 (Qualification for Membership) The member of this association shall be the private or the group that accepts the purpose of the above Article 3 and the establishment purpose and that receives the approval from the board of directors by submitting the given application for entry. (2) Article 6 (Right of Membership) The member will have the right to participate in operation of this association through the general meeting. However, the group member shall appoint 1 person of the representative and exercise the right through such representative. (3) Article 7 (Obligation of Member) The member shall take the following obligations. (A) Observance of the articles of association and all the regulations of this association (B) Performance of the resolution of the general meeting and the board of directors (C) Payment of the membership fee and all the allotments (4) Article 8 (Withdrawal of Membership) The member can be freely withdrawn from the membership by submitting the written withdrawal to the chairman. (5) Article 9 (Reward and Punishment of Member) (A) This association can award the prize to the entity contributing to development of this association as the member of this association through the resolution of the board of directors. (B) This association can take the disciplinary measure against the entity, which does the behavior violating the purpose of this association, or which does the behavior defaming the reputation and dignity, or which does not perform the obligation of the above Article 7 as the member of this association, such as expulsion, reprimand and etc. through the resolution of the board of directors or the general meeting. (c) Guidelines for Membership Fee (1) This association is operated on a monthly membership fee. (A) The membership fee payment can be made either in monthly payments or in a one-time payment of a total amount for 12 months. (B) Members residing outside of Korea can make annual membership fee payments. (2) Please make a deposit to the account of the branch office that you selected. (Once you make a deposit to the account of another branch office, you cannot transfer or modify the account.) (d) Guidelines for Other than Membership Fee (Donation) – Only in Korea (1) A donation payment is not mandatory, but if you want to pay in addition to the membership fee, you can make a payment voluntarily. (2) However, HWPL is not a designated donation organization, so donation receipts cannot be issued. (3) If you want to make donation payments, you can donate less than 500,000 won per year. Measures to Secure Personal Information Safety The Organization is implementing the following technical/management, and physical measures to secure safety in regards to handling users’ personal information. (a) Technical Measures in Preparation against Events like hacking The Organization has installed a security program and conducts periodic renewal and inspection to prevent damage and leakage of personal information from events such as hacking or infection from computer viruses. The system is installed at a location with external access restricted, and technical/physical monitoring and prevention efforts are made against events such as hacking or infection from computer viruses. (b) Restriction on Access to Personal Information and Employee Training The Organization is implementing measures for management by minimizing the access to handle users’ personal information to the person-in-charge, carrying out periodic training on the duty to protect personal information, and assigning a separate account and authority, among others. Furthermore, access to the information is possible only through an approved PC, and the log on access, inquiry, and handling is recorded and archived. 4. Denial of Consent and its Disadvantageous Results As the information subject, a user may refuse to consent to the collection and use of personal information. Without consent, the user will not be able to sign up for membership. 5.
